The seventh annual Garden State Film Festival has issued a worldwide “Call for Entries” from independent filmmakers. Filmmakers wishing to submit their films for consideration should refer to the festival web site at www.gsff.org for instructions and further information.
The 2009 Festival returns to the Paramount Theater On-the-Boardwalk and other venues in Asbury Park, New Jersey and surrounding towns, April 3-5, and will feature a film competition for independent filmmakers, open talent casting call, panel discussions, children’s workshops, and opening and closing ceremonies. Professional judges will select winning films in a number of categories, including best Feature Length, Short , Documentary, Music Video , PSA and commercial. Inaddtion GSFf is the first film festival to recognized the role music plays in the cinematic arts by holding a competition for movie music tracks. GSFF invites all music creatives who have written and produced tracks for independent films to be recognized for the part they play in the production of fine films. Filmmakers are invited to submit (on CD format) any movie music from an independent film in any category that will be judged by music industry professionals in the new category, dubbed the GSFF Movie Music Track Competition. The winners of the competition will be recognized at The GSFF Black Tie Awards Dinner held on April 6, 2008 in Asbury Park, NJ. Information about the Movie Music Track Competition
