The more social networking sites, buttons and widgets we can use the better.
So far the ning site is linked from here, my blog and my MySpace page.
I have the rss feed from the New Jersey Arts Blog, a widget for the rss feed from my blog (with a handy create your own button), a mp3 widget hosted from archive.org (archiving the arts, for free, for posterity), as well as image files uploaded directly from my pc.
I put the feed from the ning site on my personal blog (just the minimum of the title only and only two items) via rss.
I also made a Facebook application to share (hopefully if it works) the images uploaded to the ning site in a handy box in our Facebook profiles! I can't submit it to the directory until we have five users so we'll see what happens with that, but it was the ning site that walked me through the steps on how to make the facebook application. There is also a ning thing to connect a Flickr account to the ning site and I'll see how that works too. I'm not trying to monopolize the account but I do want to show how easy this all is.
If any of you local artists have art you'd like to share but aren't sure how to use all these tools just email me or post a comment on my blog.
btw karin, if you could add to the list a way to stop logging people out of the forums as it is fustrating to keep having to log in, this sitre is the only one that won't remember my information.
