You don't know me, some of you don't like me because I talk honestly on this forum but I can help you use the internet to help get your art out to the world.
Some of us don't make a good first impression, don't fit into the polite genteel circles of local fine art cliques nor can all of us afford 100$ a plate dinners to network but all you need is a pc and you can be an artist that has people all across the world as fans and potential clients.
Google is a wonderful democratic tool of the people and a boon for artists. I can tell you that it is possible to be on the front page of the search for your name and if you want people to see your art (or anything associated with your name) you don't have to be rich or a corporation to be at the top of the search.
I sign my artwork with daz, just three letters, and there are over 13 million hits on google for daz. Daz is a popular 3D software program, a famous rapper, a British laundry detergent, a corporate music file site and the nick name for thousands and thousands of people including me.
But I'm on the front page for the search of all pages associated with daz. I've yet to sell a single painting, have no advertising and really only talk about fine art and myself yet there I am on the front page thanks to the power of Google.

We can use this forum to discuss 'search engine optimisation' if you wish.
Isn't it refreshing to know that the little guy has power?
