CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS
Creative Expressions Arts & Wellness Program is a countywide initiative that uses the arts to address the rise in mental health issues in our youth due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Creative Expressions applies art forms such as painting, music, and dance as therapies. Teams of teaching artists and mental health professionals deliver free arts programs and services directly to organizations and schools. Our facilitators provide instruction and materials to engage students in artistic self-expression over a period of four to six weeks.
Over this period, teams build relationships with children and identify those who could benefit from additional mental health services.
We're looking for qualified volunteers for the summer! Interested candidates should contact Devan Brash, Creative Expressions Arts & Wellness Program Coordinator, at artsandwellness@monmoutharts.org. Please include information about previous experience and general availability for July and August.
We're also looking for Teaching Artists and Art Therapists (Part-Time/Temporary).
Visit our Job Opportunities page for details.
