July 17, 2025 (Red Bank, NJ) – Monmouth Arts, the official county arts agency of Monmouth County and a leading arts nonprofit for more than 50 years, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $40,000 grant from the New Jersey Cultural Trust as part of its record $1.04 million in Fiscal Year 2025 Institutional and Financial Stabilization Grants for Arts Organizations.
Monmouth Arts has seen significant growth in arts programming, education, and services in the last seven years. This infusion of funding will allow the nonprofit to develop a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to help raise awareness, expand reach, build partnerships, and engage with donors. The plan will strengthen Monmouth Arts’ presence and capacity, enabling the organization to continue to deliver needed programs and services to artists, member organizations, and arts affiliates to ensure the arts thrive throughout Monmouth County.
“The support from the New Jersey Cultural Trust is truly transformative for our organization,” said Teresa Staub, Executive Director of Monmouth Arts. “We are incredibly grateful for this generous funding and excited about the positive impact it will have on our ability to connect with the community and further our mission.”
The Fiscal Year 2025 Institutional and Financial Stabilization Grants for Arts Organizations were recommended to the Cultural Trust by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. The more than $1 million in awards represents the largest total dollar amount the Board has approved in grant awards in a single fiscal year in the Trust’s history.
“These grants are a historic investment in New Jersey’s cultural community that will resonate for years to come,” said Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way, who oversees the Cultural Trust in her capacity as Secretary of State. “The Cultural Trust’s unique grant programs support projects that strengthen the foundations of our state’s cultural organizations — organizations that in turn anchor local economies, improve the health and vitality of our communities, and contribute immeasurably to New Jerseyans’ wellbeing and quality of life.”
This funding will allow Monmouth Arts to improve its marketing efforts by creating a comprehensive communications plan that improves outreach and messaging. By focusing on targeted marketing strategies, Monmouth Arts will improve its ability to engage key stakeholders, including artists, arts organizations, local communities, and donors, while expanding its visibility and reach. It will also help to build stronger connections, attract new supporters, and ensure its continued growth and impact within the community.
