Commemorating Juneteenth with Community Art Events

By Sara Winick

As Juneteenth approaches (the holiday commemorating the emancipation of Black people from slavery in the United States) artists and organizations around New Jersey are coming together to honor Black independence. From celebrations and shows to educational lectures and performances, we've collected a variety of events for you to enjoy and participate in. This Juneteenth, celebrate Black Independence with the Monmouth Arts community and artists around the area.
